Its name means dwarf tyrant. It is the smallest known tyrannosaurid. Its two main differences with the T-Rex were its smaller size and that it had a greater number of teeth. It was one of the last tyrannosaurids that existed before the territorial extinction of the Cretaceous, due to the impact of a large meteorite against the Earth’s surface.
